Project Overview
A property owner in Fort Sanders near the University of Tennessee campus was exhausted from climbing a 24-foot extension ladder three times a year. The deeply wooded lot meant that pine needles, sweetgum balls, and helicopter seeds constantly bombarded the roof, resulting in overflowing gutters just weeks after a professional cleaning.
The owner wanted a permanent solution that could handle both the heavy debris load and the torrential downpours typical of the area’s weather.
- The Problem
Pine needles and small debris were bypassing the homeowner’s cheap plastic DIY gutter covers, creating sludge inside the channel that eventually caused massive water overflow near the foundation.
- Our Solution
We removed and disposed of the ineffective plastic covers. After performing a complimentary deep flush, we installed our premium stainless steel micro-mesh guards. The tight weave completely rejects pine needles while utilizing surface tension to pull hundreds of gallons of water directly into the channel.
